SAIL Amsterdam 2025: Tradition Meets Transformation 🚢
SAIL-IN 2025: Tradition Meets Transformation 🚢
As majestic tall ships sailed into Amsterdam for SAIL 2025, the Energy Transition Campus Amsterdam (ETCA) set the stage for something equally powerful: a meeting point between tradition and transformation. Against this historic backdrop, over 350 entrepreneurs, policymakers, and innovators came together to discuss the future of energy and maritime decarbonization.
For us at SeaOâ‚‚, it was inspiring to see how the campus brought such a diverse group of people together, sparking conversations that were not only visionary but also actionable. From deep-dive morning sessions to an engaging plenary program and relaxed networking in the afternoon sun, the energy, both literal and figurative, was undeniable. What struck us most was the diversity in the room: people from across sectors, united by a shared curiosity and drive to shape a more inclusive and sustainable future.
That’s why we were proud to be part of SAIL 2025, organized by Shell NL, Shell Marine, and the Energy Transition Campus Amsterdam. As a stand host at the Innovation Market in the ETCA garden area, we shared how our Direct Ocean Capture (DOC) technology is helping to chart a cleaner course for the maritime sector:
âš“ How DOC works and its role in carbon dioxide removal (CDR)
âš“ How DOC enables the production of sustainable e-fuels
⚓ Why these innovations are key to decarbonizing the EU’s maritime industry
Events like SAIL remind us that the energy transition is not just about technology—it’s about people coming together to build, test, and accelerate the solutions of today and tomorrow.
A big thank you to everyone who joined us at SAIL 2025. Let’s keep this momentum going, learning from one another and working collectively to navigate toward a more sustainable maritime future.
