SeaO₂ identified as a Top Electrochemistry Innovator for 2025! ⚡

We’re proud to share that SeaO₂ has been featured in Insights Success Magazine as one of the Most Innovative Electrochemistry Companies to Watch in 2025! 🎉

As the urgency to meet net-zero targets intensifies, SeaO₂ is pioneering a scalable, sustainable solution: Direct Ocean Capture (DOC) — removing CO₂ from seawater using only electricity and seawater, with no added heat or chemicals. 💧

Founded in 2021 as a spin-off from Delft University of Technology and Wetsus, SeaO₂ has grown into a 15-person team and reached TRL 5/6, with a 25-ton/year pilot module currently being commissioned and a 250-ton facility set to begin construction this year. 🛠️

At the heart of this innovation is Phebe van Langevelde, our R&D Engineer, helping drive our tech from lab to ocean with science and integrity. Our technology generates high-quality carbon removal  credits, but also supplies green CO₂ for applications like sustainable aviation fuels, including through our new partnership with Transavia Ventures ✈️.

With sights set on removing 1 megaton of CO₂ by 2030, we’re gearing up for a Series A round to expand even further. 📈
